Manson works with Ne-Yo?

(Tuesday September 23, 2008 10:29 AM)

Marilyn Manson and Ne-Yo are in talks about an unlikely collaboration, according to reports.

The infamous rocker and R&B star hope to go into the studio in the coming months, although actual details remain scant.

"I've wanted to work with him for ages and his people reached out to me when they heard", explained Ne-Yo.

"I have no idea what the music will sound like or what direction we'll take, but it will be really cool."

The singer admitted it was "a strange collaboration" and insisted he has no plans to start wearing make-up for the project.

"We're obviously two separate sides of the musical extreme but that's what makes it exciting", he commented.

DeGraw left stunned by plane crash tragedy

(Tuesday September 23, 2008 06:25 AM)

Singer/songwriter Gavin DeGraw is still stunned after shaking the hands of people destined to die in a plane crash minutes before the tragedy.

DeGraw performed with Travis Barker and Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein in South Carolina before they boarded a doomed Learjet flight, which cost two of their friends their lives early on Saturday.

Speaking exclusively to US news show Extra, DeGraw says, "The people that you travel with when you're doing this for a living, they become your family. I was shaking somebody's hand who was about to die… That could just as easily been our reality too.

"You have no idea what your own fate or their fate is going to be."

DeGraw has revealed that many of his friends, fans and family feared he was onboard the flight from Columbia airport to Van Nuys, California, which failed to clear the runway and crashed.

He adds, "I got so many calls from people who were checking to see if I was OK… My dad got on the phone and goes, 'Just say hi' and I said, 'Huh' and he said, 'That's enough. I just wanted to hear your voice.'"

DeGraw's stage partners DJ AM and Barker are both critical but stable in an Augusta, Georgia hospital burns unit. Four people died in the plane crash.

The Livin' On A Prayer hitmakers will perform at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai in December, according to sources. Other major acts have yet to be confirmed, but Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan will also make an appearance. The concert is being promoted by New Delhi-based scientist Rajendra Pachauri, who shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with politician-turned-environmentalist Al Gore, one of the brains behind the Live Earth concerts for climate control. More than two billion people watched the original Live Earth concerts in Sydney, Johannesburg, New Jersey, Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo and London, among other world cities, last summer. Bon Jovi performed at the New Jersey Live Earth concert at Giants Stadium alongside the Police and Roger Waters.
