Eclectic singer/songwriter born and raised in Miami, Fl. Coming from a talented family, she was surrounded by music all her life and learned how to play the piano from her mother when she was 12 years old. From then on her love for music began and in her words, "my love wasn't for the piano, my love was simply listening to the music." Zaida's musical career began shortly after with an independent label. After a few sessions at the studio working at shaping her style and developing her voice with cover songs, Zaida expressed an interest in composing original music. After taking guitar lessons, she began to combine her own original poetry with some basic guitar melodies, the result of which was her debut album, "Train Ride" which was released in 2000. Recently, as an independent artist, Zaida completed a demo to continue showing the people the world through her eyes. Zaida's lyrics portray the different journeys her life has taken her through; heartache, hardships, falling in love, and happiness. "I want the people to feel what I felt, to see what I have seen, and to know what I have learned. I want my music to be the window to my soul for the world to peak in. It is more than just listening to the songs; it is breathing in the words."
